I enjoy the show the Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan I have, for a while now, said his techniques are applicable to humans as well. I have been validated finally. In this weeks Parade there is an article with Cesar Millan about what your pet can teach you. Here's the 8 things he mentioned and my spin on them...
1) Live in the moment. This very moment in time is all you have. It's the only speck of time you can control. You can not control the past or what may lie ahead of you.
2) Nurture a balanced life. Seek balance everyday. Without balance things get crazy! It's one of my specialties as a life coach.
3) Trust your instincts. Actions speak louder than words and your gut knows what is right for you, listen!
4) Be direct and consistent in your communication. This is something I go over time and time again with parents, in my other life coaching specialty. Be consistent. If you say your going to do it follow through.
5) Learn to listen. We were given two ears and one mouth, I think that means we need to talk less and listen more.
6) Don't hold grudge. They will hurt you, it may take a while. Eventually they can cause ulcers, migraines, back problems. Let go of old junk!
7) Live with purpose. Everyone needs something to do, something to work towards; a paycheck, changing the world, something.
8) Celebrate everyday. Find something to be grateful for everyday.

Hi dear Tara, I've been over here a few times reading various posts, but I just LOVE this one. I've read it twice since you put it up. What I love about it is that it is SO obviously applicable to humans...as you say. The list is so clear and easy done and yet if applied to ones life makes SUCH a HUGE difference. I am going to stumble it. Hugs to you, Robin :)
Thanks for the stumble. That's a first for me to have someone do that! I'm honored as always by you and your spirit!
